The Field Day-2015 in the Tver Region

The All-Russian Research Institute of Improved Land in the Kalinin region hosted the workshop “The Field Day -2015: Modern agricultural technologies in agriculture in the Tver Region”.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Tver Region, SPU of the Tver Region “Center of development of Agribusiness in the Region”, research institutes, regional departments and federal authorities, retail companies and agricultural producers of the region.

The participants of the workshop discussed current status and prospects of crop farming in the Tver region. In 2015 the spring crops were planted on the area of 153.0 thousand hectares (which is 9.5 thousand hectares more than in 2014), including spring cereals and leguminous crops of 71,0 thousand hectares, linen flax of 7,4 thousand hectares, potato of 24,4 thousand hectares, vegetables of 4,2 thousand hectares, and industrial and fodder crops of 45.9 thousand hectares.

Microbiological fertilizers “Azotovit” and “Phosphatovit” were presented at the workshop”, as well as agricultural machinery and technological trials of the All-Russian Research Institute of Improved Land on drained plots, demonstrational trial seeding of potato, winter rye, triticale and spring cereals.
