Results of testing the Activator of Plant Tissue and Stubble Remains Decomposition

The purpose of works is checking the working efficiency of the Activator of Plant Tissue and Stubble Remains Decomposition on experimental plots.

The purpose of works is checking the working efficiency of the Activator of Plant Tissue and Stubble Remains Decomposition on experimental plots.

Initial data:

  • Soil – black soil of medium productive capacity. Size of experimental plot – 50*50 cm

  • Time interval – the tests took 103 days (from June 09, 2010 till September 20, 2010)

  • Object of decomposition – a cotton towel (size - 30*40 cm)

  • Reactant – cellulose-decomposing microorganisms making up the biological preparation for decomposition of plant tissue.

  • Additional arrangements – the experiment was carried out without application of water or other substances, i.e. exposure of experimental plots passed in natural conditions, without human intervention.

The initial stage of the experiment with the biological preparation (June 09, 2010).

The data obtained as a result of the test of the biological preparation (September 20, 2010)

Experimental plot No. 1 – a dry cotton towel is soaked in the concentrated solution of the biological preparation and buried in the soil 50-80 mm deep.

Experimental plot No. 2 – a dry cotton towel is buried in the soil 50-80 mm deep and poured with concentrated biological preparation.

Experimental plot No. 3 – a cotton towel is soaked in a weak solution of the biological preparation (2 litres per hectare) and then buried in the soil 50-80 mm deep.

Experimental plot No. 4 – a dry cotton towel is buried in the soil 50-80 mm deep and then poured with a weak solution of the biological preparation (2 litres per hectare).

Test plot – a dry cotton towel is buried in the soil without application of the biological preparation.

Comments to the pictures

Table №1

Name

Comments

Experimental plot No. 1

The towel has disintegrated, individual parts are completely decomposed. The remaining parts of the towel have acquired brownish color. At stretching the fabric tears easily.

Experimental plot No. 2

The process of decomposition of the cotton towel is clearly marked. The remaining individual fragments of the fabric have acquired brownish color. At stretching the towel tears easily.

Experimental plot No. 3

This plot has shown the best results in decomposition of a cotton towel. There are individual fragments of fabric, white in color. At stretching the fabric tears easily.

Experimental plot № 4

The towel has disintegrated, individual fragments are completely decomposed. The remaining fragments have acquired brownish color. At stretching the fabric tears easily.

Test plot

The towel has disintegrated, individual fragments are completely decomposed. The remaining fragments of the towel have acquired brownish color in the central part. At stretching the fabric around the decomposed fragments tears easily, but closer to the edges of the towel it tears only when force is applied.

Conclusions:

  1. The experiment has showed that the Activator of Plant Tissue and Stubble Remains Decomposition position has activated the processes of cellulose decomposition in the soil.

  2. The effect produced by the biological preparation manifested itself most evidently on the experimental plots No. 2 and No. 3.
